Abstract

Competition in the field of embroidery services today is very high, to produce a product that has high value and meets consumer expectations must have reliable machines that are ready to use in good condition. UKM Rudy Bordir is one of the companies engaged in the field of embroidery services. UKM Rudy Bordir has 3 computer embroidery machines, namely, 12-head machines, 6-head machines, 2-head machines for that the machines must always be ready to use, but sometimes there is still damage to the machines used, with the damage it is necessary to repair or maintain the machine. In this study, the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method was used. To determine the level of machine effectiveness at UKM Rudy Bordir Yogyakarta, this method uses the calculation of Availability Rate, Performance Rate, Quality Rate and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). From the results of the analysis and discussion of the research conducted at UKM Rudy Bordir Komputer Yogyakarta, the following are the conclusions of this research, namely, from data processing and analysis results of the 12-head computer embroidery machine for the period January - December 2018, it reached an OEE value of 89.41%, the 6-head computer embroidery machine was 88.85%, the 2-head computer embroidery machine was 90.14%. Of the three machine units, the machine meets the world class OEE standard because it reaches 85.00% or more in the period January - December 2018, which proves that the computer embroidery machine is still productive and effective in running its production even though the machine is quite old.
