Abstract

Converter active sentences to be passive sentences in English by using Google speech API is an Android application that aims to convert active into passive English sentences using audio input with the right pronunciation. This application is able to help in changing active into passive English sentences. The system in this application could not run properly if the sentences entered are not because this application uses limited sentences. If the user has entered an audio with the right pronunciation then the system would convert the audio into text. After that, the system would change the sentence based on the existing tenses (simple present tense, simple past tense, present perfect tense, simple future tense). This application could be operated on Android at least 4.0 IceCreamSandwich version. The application test involved 30 respondents from students of the 2016 class, Department of Informatics Engineering, Adisutjipto College of Technology. The test results obtained a percentage value of 90.6% with "very good” category.
