Abstract

Along with the increasing needs of the community for air transportation, it requires a means of transportation to travel from one place to another easily, comfortably, safely, quickly and more economically on the Yogyakarta - Bandung flight route. The purpose of this study is to calculate the operational costs of the ATR 72-600 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft for the Yogyakarta - Bandung flight and to analyze the types of ATR 72-600 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft that are more economical for the Yogyakarta - Bandung flight. The type of data used is quantitative data, namely data in the form of numbers or figures. The method used is the comparative method, namely comparing and analyzing two similar aircraft, then adjusting it to the needs of the intended route and analyzing the costs needed for aircraft operations. From the results of the study, the aircraft that has the lowest Total Operating Cost (TOC) is the ATR 72-600 aircraft of US$ 2077.09. While for the Bombardier Q400 aircraft it is US$ 2429.94. For the most economical DOC and IOC costs are the ATR 72-600 aircraft. And for the ticket costs with 70% filled seats, the most economical is the ATR 72-600 aircraft with a ticket price of Rp. 565,264.
