Abstract

Development of air transportation service users movement of some decades get the significant rise. By seeing the development transportation service user, providers of air transportation service are demanded to move aggresively in case of flight rute development. Sriwijaya air company of Yogyakarta district operate three flight routes, they are Yogyakarta to Surabaya (SUB), Yogyakarta to Jakarta (CGK) and Yogyakarta to Balikpapan (BPN). Anticipate financial loss in flight route operation, need to be done consideration and an analysis related to potency development of that flight. The analysis of potency development of the flight route is calculated based on profit value, which this profit value is gotten from decrease between revenue and operation cost. Based on profit value calculation of each flight route, flight route from Yogyakarta to Balikpapan has of 38.505.776 rupiah, flight route from Yogyakarta to Jakarta has 20.403.862.rupiah and flight route from Yogyakarta to Surabaya has 6.473.699 rupiah. The calculation results of the profit indicates that the Yogyakarta route Balikpapan flight has greater potential to be developed by increasing the number of flights. To see consumer interest there is a need for continued analysis of market opportunities
