Magnetic Compass Radio is a compass that shows the direction for the station. The damage that often occurs on the Radio Magnetic Indicator instrument is that the bearing needle is not the same as Cross Indicator and the component of the Encoder module is damaged. The inoperative flag Troubleshoot in B737NG magnetic indicator radio warning is carried out by conducting the steps found in Chapter 34-22-74 Component Maintenance Manual. There are steps to implement troubleshoot in the process, there is an initial testing process to find out the damage that occurs in accordance with the damage written on the removable tag then disassembly the Magnetic Indicator Radio in the Encoder module section, then replace this troubleshooting by replacing the old A14 Encoder module with the module New encoder. The next stage is assembly Radio Magnetic Indicator and retesting is carried out in order to find out whether the Radio Magnetic Indicator is in good condition. The result of this troubleshooting work is a warning flag that appeared on the display and the bearing needle does not show a zero degree position after replacing the Encoder module, the result is that the warning flag does not come out in the display and the bearing needle shows its position after input.
