Abstract
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which is widely used in surveillance, supervision, mapping, research and many other missions. But in the freight forwarding mission, UAV aircraft are still not much developed, especially in Indonesia itself. Manufacturing is branch of industries which applied machinery, equipment and labor and it’s a media to convert raw materials into finished goods for commercial. Before the UAV is flown, many things must be considered in its operation, one of which is the problem of balance in determining the center of gravity of an aircraft. Configuration in load placement, and aircraft components that are be count to produce the right balance point from the aircraft. In manufacturing process there are several steps that must followed to get a complete and perfect aircraft. The selection of tools is an important role in determining the process of making UAV components, Laser Cutting machines and hot wire for the cutting process of UAV components. The manufacturing process of the UAV Cargo-X aircraft goes through several stages consisting of the laser cutting process, to the assembly process of the entire component. As well as adding some former joints to the wing and the empennage section and giving the former slot wing to the fuselage so as to facilitate the installation of the wing to the aircraft if you want to do flight testing. Calculation of weight and balance are done to get the location of the center of gravity by manual calculations using data on weights, arms, and moments. From calculatations we get center of gravity of UAV CARGO-X at 391 mm from the datum (nose)
