Abstract

Unmaned Aerial Vehicle UAV is a flying robot controlled by a pilot using Remote Control atau Remotely Pilot Vehicle RPV or autonimously. One of platform Unmaned Aerial Vehicle UAV adalah quadcopter drone. Penggunaan or application quadcopter drone for example military purpose, argiclture, monitoring object and hobby. quadcopter drone have abillty to Vertical Take Off and Landing VTOL is aventage of quadcopter drone because it does not require a broad foundation.Therefore, this study discusses the aerodynamic characteristics and determines the direction of air flow from the rotation of the Propeller and calculates the value of the drag force of the two tank shapes. The object of research in this thesis is the UAV Sprayer AMF 16 IF which is paired with two tank shapes and will be analyzed using ANSYS software. Before analyzing the modeling using CATIA software which is then saved using the stp igs format. In the process of preparing this final project, there are several stages of data collection methods, namely the literature study method, interview method, and analysis study. From the reseach result airflow from Propeller rotation does not interfere with the spraying process and the selected tank to be installed on UAV prayer is round shape because has a smaller drag value when cruising with drag value 0,0957 N compared with squared tank with drag value 0,0972 N with different value 1,54%. And characteristics of aerodynamics UAV Sprayer when cruising and installed round tank have value Cl 0,757 and Ct have value 0,258 and Cd 0,223 and squared tank have value Cl 0,757 and Ct have value 0,258 and Cd 0,226.
