Abstract

Aircraft of CN 235 220 MPA has many systems, one of which is the SAGE Electronic Support Measure ESM Antenna, as integrated support for the radar system Flight Radar instrument. With the software, researchers are able to carry out more complete testing starting from analyzing the strength of the structure, when compared to conventional or experimental testing methods. One of the software referred to is the ANSYS software to determine the strength and resistance of the CN235 220 MPA aircraft antenna structure. The process carried out is to analyze the antenna structure by being given a load of air flow. Then the analysis process will be carried out using software where the analysis process in the software uses the finite element method. Looking for the strength value of Antenna structure can be done after reassessing the results of the structure analysis to find out the Failure Index where the value is 1 for the structure is said to be safe while 1 for the structure is said to be unsafe or will experience failure when receiving loads. After going through the structural analysis stage, it was found that the highest stress occurred when given a vertical load with a stress magnitude of 873190 Pa which was located on layer 16 on the Z axis, then the Failure Index value was obtained after analyzing 3 different loads the greatest value was 0.012209 when given a vertical load which is located on layer 1, and the smallest value of all the analysis results obtained a value of 0.00004815 when given a Horizontal load which is located on layer 9. Of all values Failure Index no results show a value greater than 1, meaning the structure is safe when given 3 different loads.
