Abstract

UAV Cargo-X is a UAV that is capable of lifting goods with a maximum capacity of 2 kg. The Cargo-X UAV is designed without the use of landing gear because it has a cargo door configuration at the bottom of the fuselage, therefore the Cargo-X UAV really needs a launch device to fly it. The launcher UAV Cargo X can also be flown anywhere without having to find a very large location and have a runway. In this research, we chose a launcher whose propulsion is generated by pneumatic, because the pneumatic launcher can generate more power so that it can launch the UAV well This research will focus on the manufacture process of the Cargo-X UAV launcher and test the launcher's basic capabilities. Manufacturing begins with several stages, namely, manufacturing the carriage using laser cutting and argon welding, connecting the air intake to the cylinder tube using acetylene welding, manufacturing the driving piston using a lathe, manufacturing launching cases, launching rails and launching legs. After all components are finished manufacturing, it is followed by the assembly process of all components Launchers that have been assembled will be subjected to a basic ability function test. In this test using a pressure of 42 psi. In the test of the Cargo-X UAV launcher mechanism, all components were able to function properly. In the basic capability test, the Cargo-X UAV launcher gets a launch speed of 6.922 m / s
