Abstract

Late knowing fire of a fire is fatal because it causes the house to burn. ATMega microcontroller based device with MQ2 sensor, KY 026 fire sensor, and GSM SIM900D module is a simulation tool used to detect gas, smoke and fire leaks. The research objective was to develop a system with MQ2 sensors and fire sensors KY 026 as a detector for gas, smoke and fire leaks in the kitchen room. The MQ2 sensor is used to detect smoke or gas when heating food by means of a device mounted on a stove at a distance of 60 cm. Gas leak testing is carried out by spraying LPG gas into the MQ2 sensor carried out at a distance of 5 cm to 90 cm then testing the fire sensor KY 026 is done by means of the distance to the sensor range the size of the fire. From the results of the study, the tool designed to detect smoke, LPG gas and fire by sending SMS to 3 GSM numbers. This tool can send SMS warning of danger if the MQ2 sensor detects smoke and gas by reading the ADC > 100 value, while the fire sensor KY 026 reads the ADC limit for the fire limit < 720.
