Abstract

Angle of attack AOA sensor is one of the important parts of an aircraft that has a function as an find out aircraft has stalled. Angle Of Attack AOA sensor is in the category of Air Data Inertial Reference System ADIRS. AOA indicator are displayed on the Primary Flight Display PFD instrument. Maintenance from the angle of attack AOA sensor are include in the condition monitoring. Angle Of Attack AOA sensor has several problems that are displayed on ADIRS displays, especially on Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft. During the operational test BITE procedure displayed on ADIRS displays, one of the problems was AOA Signal Fail. In problem of AOA signal fail, how to solve it with a wiring check, replace the AOA sensor. After troubleshooting, the problem lies in the angle of attack AOA sensor. In accordance with the AMM Boeing 737-800 NG Fault Isolation Manual a sensor angle of attack AOA component must be replaced. After replacing the angle of attack AOA sensor, perform to retest operation. The results of the operational test are that the component has been serviceable and can be operational again
