Abstract

he operational system of a company greatly influences the size of the costs in the airline company. One of the big costs is fuel, which directly affects the basic price of a flight ticket. The fuel that is loaded into the aircraft also has a direct effect on the aircraft's load capacity. The greater the amount of fuel carried, the smaller the loading capacity of the aircraft. Fuel tankering is one of the strategies in which the aircraft adds fuel from the original airport, where the price of fuel at the original airport is cheaper than the price of fuel at the destination airport. Because the price of fuel in each region is different the fuel tankering technique used in the aircraft will buy more fuel from an area with cheaper fuel prices and reduce fuel purchases in areas with more expensive fuel. The result shows that when it is not using Fuel tankering, the minimum fuel requirement (Fuel burn) in Jakarta is 5,878 kg and Makassar is 3,756 kg. when the Fuel Tankering conditions, Where refueling is only in Jakarta the results obtained 6.148 kg. The loading capacity for Jakarta - Makasssar route is 17,273 kg, and for Makassar - Gorontalo route is 16,702 kg. if using fuel tankering, the loading capacity is 13,213 kg. In addition for this route a fuel saves Rp. 3,367,107 per flight or Rp. 205,393,527 in one month
