Abstract

Cargo-X is an UAV aircraft that has been developed with cargo features for the delivery of ordered goods, highway monitoring, medical, emergency needs (sending the first aid for accidents) and others. The manufacture of Cargo-X required cargo door structure design, aerodynamic analysis, and door structure analysis to determine the value of the maximum stress and deformation as an indicator of the strength and durability of the structure so that cargo load can be carried to the destination. In the process of making cargo doors for UAV Cargo-X, cargo door design, aerodynamic analysis, and static structure analysis are needed, software is needed that can assist in carrying out the analysis. For cargo door design using CATIA V5R20 software, for aerodynamic analysis using ANSYS V15.0 CFX. While for static structure analysis using ANSYS V15.0 Static Structural Analysis. After analysis and getting the stress value, then the marigin of safety calculation is carried out to determine the safety of the cargo door structure. Based on the results of testing the cargo door structure, the material used in the cargo door is plywood, acrylic, expanded polystyrene, and expanded polypropylene. For the movement mechanism each door is moved by a metal servo with torque 1.27 N.m. In aerodynamic analysis with a speed of 24 m/ s in cruising conditions or alpha 0 ° get a drag value of 10.927. The results of structural analysis show that the maximum stress occurs in the acrylic material precisely on the SS (Rib joints with servo) with a value of 8.245E + 7 Pa, while the highest deformation value is found in the plywood and acrylic with a value of 0.000193 m. For the calculation of MS (Margin of Safety) on each material to get a positive result with MS values on plywood that is 8, Acrylic 0333, and the MS value of the overall material is 0.032, the overall results indicate that the structure on the cargo door as a whole is safe
