Abstract

Fire detection system on aircraft Boeing 737-800 Next Generation is used to detect overheat and fire on an aircraft. This technology make the pilot can control the aircraft so that it does not overheat and fire on the aircraft, because it is very dangerous if there is overheat and fire happened to the aircraft which can harm the humans and the company. The engine fire detection system have the problem where the fault / inop light was illuminate when will do a daily check. Troubleshooting procedure must following the FIM chapter 26-10 TASK 805. when troubleshooting carried out, there was fault at one of the engine fire detection system components, this fault happen at fire detector assembly engine 1 loop A- Fan Lower. The failure is caused by crack on the sensetube. Crack happened because of high temperature and vibration from the engine. To keep the aircraft airworthy it is need to do replacement of fire detector assembly engine 1 loop A- Fan Lower. After replacement the fire detector assembly engine 1 loop A-fan lower, it is need to do operational test to ensure that the engine fire detection system can operate properly. The replacement of the serviceable fire detector assembly engine 1 loop A Fan Lower make the fault light not comes on in normal operation. The result showed no more failures occurs in the engine fire detection system and can operate properly
