Abstract

Angle of Attack Instrument is one of the devices of the navigation system. Angle of attack (AOA) instrument is part of the navigation instrument that serves to measure the angle of attack of the aircraft when the aircraft is climbing to reach a specified altitude using a vane that sends information to adiru in the form of analog signals. At the angle of attack instrument can be spelled error reading on Angle of Attack Istrument marked with the aircraft unable to reach the specified speed and the aircraft activating High Alpha Protection when the aircraft is flying in a normal position. Therefore, improvements to indicators are indispensable. The research process began by conducting literacy studies on the Angle of Attack Instrument of Airbus A320 aircraft from various sources both from instructors, observations, and the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). Then read the Technical Follow-Up to find out what happened to the AOA sensor on the Airbus A320 aircraft. Initial testing to ascertain if any damage to the AOA sensor was found to be damage in the form of a lightning damage and vane screwing on the AOA probe. Based on the Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM) TASK 34-13-00-810-906-A, the trouble shooting error reading angle of attack on Airbus A320 aircraft is done by replacing the components with new one. Once the trouble shooting process is complete then the next step is to perform the final test. If during the final test there is already a message "AOA SENSOR COMMANDED TO FIXED POSITION" and "MAKE SURE THAT THE AURAL STALL WARNING IS GENERATED" and then a warning is heard in the form of "STALL", then the AOA sensor is declared ready for use.
