Abstract

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is used to prevent loops and broadcast storms when there is a redundant system on network devices. STP is a computer network technology that can be used to exchange data or connect to other devices. This is found on network switching devices, for example on Cisco Catalyst 2950 and Cisco Catalyst 3750. However, the STP configuration on Cisco Catalyst 2950 and Cisco Catalyst 3750 still uses the command line and is not accessible from anyone. no matter where. Therefore, it is necessary to create an STP Web that has a GUI display and can be accessed from anywhere. By using the API as the link for the web programming language with Cisco Catalyst and Telnet as the wider provider, a web-based STP will be created, accessible from anywhere and using any device with a web browser. This web-based STP will later be used for managing and monitoring the Spanning Tree Protocol on the Cisco Catalyst 2950 and Cisco Catalyst 3750. The test results in this study show that the web-based STP can perform all functions and commands according to the command line, so that it can perform the Spanning Tree Protocol configuration.
