Abstract

CV. Sari Gemilang is a non-fertilizer distributor company the largest urea in Central Java. This company has business activities, namely: distribute fertilizer from producers to consumers who need non-fertilizer subsidies at wholesale prices. The head office is in Semarang City with the area distribution in areas around Central Java, Jakarta, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Kalimantan. This research aims to determine fertilizer delivery routes the most appropriate and optimal that can minimize transportation costs, and to find out the magnitude of transportation savings. The data used in this research is request data from ten consumer companies from CV. Sari Gemilang. Route determination analysis just used the Savings Matrix Method using forecasting from past data to find out demand data for the future period using the Linear Regression Method. The results of the analysis using the savings matrix method show the amount Delivery routes can be cut from 10 routes to 5 routes. The distance traveled The original 3820 kilometers can be saved to 2568.5 kilometers, which means This distance can be shortened or more economical by 67.23% or around 1251.5 kilometers. The reduction in routes results in fertilizer transportation costs becomes lower. The original cost was Rp. 26,788,000 decreased to Rp. 13,701,000. In this way, there is a savings in the cost of distributing fertilizer amounting to IDR 13,087,000 or around 51.15%.
