Abstract

Cases of theft of valuables in the form of small is quite high, to anticipate this an integrated security device is needed including a safe. In general, existing safes lack security systems and are not practical in accessing them. Safes using manual keys are no longer safe, and those using RFID are also unsafe because they can be left behind or stolen.. In this research, a prototype safe is made to store valuables with a layered security system and several sensors to protect from forced opening. Thus minimizing the act of theft on the safe. The design of the safety deposit box uses Arduino Mega as a controller, the Fingerprint Sensor as the safe access, the Reed Switch Sensor and the SW420 Sensor as a safety in case of forced disruption, and the GSM Module as the sender of information. Information sent by GSM is information on the state of the safe and password for accessing the safe. The results of the research show that the tool designed can work well according to the function of each component. The security system for access is layered, namely fingerprint as first access and password as second access. Microcontoler will send a new random password every time a safe opening attempt occurs. Each fingerprint that is successfully registered can be detected by the Fingerprint sensor with an average response time of 0.74 seconds. The GSM module sends safe safe and random password information with an average delivery time of 8.42 seconds.
