Abstract

Bladeless Wind Turbine is a new technology to capture wind energy and capture vorticity energy, this turbine has the advantage of being able to beinstalled in various locations, however, the strength of the structure can be a problem in the level of safety if not further analyzed for strength. This research is an advanced stage of the previous research, namely preliminary design and aerodynamic analysis, so that this research is carried out modeling the design of the mini bladeless windturbine base structure and structural strength analysis. In the base structure design process using CATIA VR21 software and structural strength analysis of these components using ANSYS R21 software. To get the structural strength value of the component in accordance with the failure criteria and margin of safety, the loading is carried out under static conditions using the load variation of the mast component -225.72 N, -317.872 N, and -2306.2 N, side drag load from previous research -317.87 N and added acceleration of -9.8mm/s2. The results obtained in this study that. Epoxy Carbon Woven and Cast Iron is a strong and lightweight material recommendation for mast and base components compared to other material variations, with a total weight of 124.99 Kg. The margin of safety and failure criteria values obtained are 3.03 and 0.16183 under static conditions. So that the structure is declared safe accordingto the calculation of margin of safety and tsai-hill criteria.
