Abstract

Flights at Ahmad Yani International Airport, Semarang, which are crowded, require Handling field workers to be more competent in carrying out their work. Conditions in the ground handling operation Kokapura run a shift work pattern with a comparable number of workers between the morning and afternoon shifts. Different flight schedules make the number of workers' needs unbalanced. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the number of workers needed for ground handling operations in Kokapura in accordance with the conditions of the flight schedule. Calculation of workload in the form of mental work using the NASA-TLX method. The NASA-TLX method uses 6 indicator dimensions to measure the workload. The six indicators are mental demand, physical demand, temporal demand, performance, frustration level, and effort. All of these indicators have a scale from the lowest of 0 to the highest of 100. Based on the collection of questionnaires given to Kokapura ground handling operations workers. And also to find out at what time the most workers needed. The results of the workload calculation show values with high and very high workload categories. The level of mental workload of Operation Kokapura employees, there are 3 positions in the very high category and 4 positions in the high category. The more the number of flights, the number of workers will increase, the more diverse types of skills needed, the number of workers will also increase. For normal conditions, the total number of workers needed is at most 14.00-15.00 WIB, which is 39 workers and at 19.00-20.00 WIB, which is 39 workers.
