Abstract

Interactive Media is a multimedia-based tool that can describe messages or information which in the process occurs 2-way communication between multimedia and users or whose purpose is to facilitate the information process. This study aims to introduce Mount Merbabu to climbers or the general public by viewing information on Mount Merbabu via Selo through an interactive media application that has been created, using an interactive media, so that everyone can find out the climbing route of Mount Merbabu via Selo, pictures of climbing equipment such as carriers, sleeping bags, mattresses, tents, shoes, jackets with Augmented Reality displaying 3D and map images of Mount Merbabu via Selo in 2D and 3D form of Mount Merbabu, and there is a calculation of the travel time of the hiking trail via Selo. This research uses Blender 3D application for 3D object creation and Unity application. The results of the application user test using a questionnaire with 30 respondents and using a guttman scale calculation that is 69%. This application can run well on devices with the operating system android 7, 10, 11, and 12, runs poorly on android 5.
