Abstract
Currently, the development of electronic devices is quite rapid, both for household, office and industrial needs. This equipment requires a source of electric current to supply good quality electronic equipment. A power supply with a direct current voltage resulting change from a AC voltage (alternating current) to a DC voltage (direct current) is commonly referred as a rectifier. To change the AC voltage to DC voltage will cause ripples in the output voltage. This research was conducted using a simulation approach and experimental results. The experimental results show that there are images with simulation results using proteus software. To reduce the ripple, the low pass rc filter method is installed at the output of the circuit. The determination of the value of the rc filter component is influenced by the ripple that arises, by knowing the value of the ripple that arises, it will be more accurate to determine the value of the filter component. Of the nine tests carried out, the one that experienced the largest increase was taken at the ninth experiment with a capacitor value of 22. looking at the error and accuracy in the first experiment, the 75UF capacitor got 2,9 % error and 97,1% accuracy, and in the nine experiment which experienced the biggest increase with the 275UF capacitor got 12 % and 88 % accuracy which experienced the largest increase because it was close to pure DC wave, so the larger C, the smaller the ripple.
