Abstract

The number of freight forwarding services currently makes users of the services confused to choose which delivery service is right to use or send their goods. One way to solve this problem is to have a method with additional choices of types of goods that can later provide recommendations as consideration for making appropriate decisions. The research aims to make the best goods transportation service system based on the type of goods by applying the Weighted Product method which can solve the problem by connecting the rating attribute with the associated weight attribute. As for the criteria in considering the selection of goods transportation services in the study, namely price, packaging of goods, delivery time, many branches, system services and services. The results of this study are in the form of an application of a web-based goods transportation service selection system that can provide users of these services as consideration for making decisions in choosing transportation services by applying the Weighted Product method in the system analysis process in order to obtain the best results in decision making.
