Abstract

Manual material handling activities carried out by workers at PT. Global Jasa Angkasa at Tunggul Wulung Cilacap Airport in loading-unloading work still experience many complaints due to the burden of lifting or lowering goods from or to the plane. With the Nordic body map method, complaints were found in several parts of the body, because the work is static, it is necessary to measure the workload using the national method for occupational safety and health which consists of measurement dimensions H, V, D, and A. The results of the study through the distribution of questionnaires using the Nordic body map method showed that there were complaints that occurred in several workers, namely in the left hand 83%, left leg 83%, back 66%, waist 66%, left elbow 66%, left knee 66%, right elbow 50%, right hand 50% and right leg 50%. Then by using the national method for occupational safety and health, the average recommended weight limit for loading origin is 15.22 kg and loading destination is 8.17 kg, for un-loading origin is 12.34 kg and un-loading destination is 5.17 kg. So that the average lifting index for loading origin is 0.51 and loading destination is 0.98, for un-loading origin is 0.73 and un-loading destination is 1.73. where the average recommended weight limit value exceeds the safe lifting limit and the lifting index value is more than 1 (one) which means that it can cause a risk of injury to 6 (six) workers.
