Abstract

Structure repair manual is a guide issued by the manufacturer to the maintenance repair overhaul to perform repairs. All forms of repair are efforts to repair something that is damaged so that it can still be used. Likewise with the repair of the fuselage skin Bsta 400-420 Stringer R 24-25 section 43. SRM also functions as an actual reference in performing an SRM repair modification. However, the SRM does not state analytically that the repair is safe. So it is necessary to know the level of safety through structural strength analysis. Structural strength analysis is carried out using the Finite Element method which is integrated with CATIA V5R20 software. Through analysis using CATIA V5R20 software, the maximum stress value in the critical area is known when a structure is loaded, so that the maximum stress can be used to determine the Margin of Safety of the structure being analyzed. The results of the analysis using CATIA V5R20 software showed that the margin of safety of the SRM repair structure in the internal pressure case was 0.14, while for the tension load case the margin of safety was 8.56. While for the SRM repair modification structure in the internal pressure case the margin of safety was 0.43. And for the tension load case the margin of safety was 9.67.
