Abstract
Taxi light is one of the aircraft’s external lighting system that serves to provide lighting in front of the aircraft that helps Pilots and Copilots when maneuvering on the ground or when the aircraft is taxiing in the taxi way at night so that visibility is maintained. Taxi light is located on the nose landing gear precisely under the nose wheel steering actuator. This system has various problems. One of the problems is when the taxi light does not operate correctly in all possible modes. The way to overcome the taxi light not operating correctly in all possible modes in Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft is found in the Fault Isolation Manual by doing a continuity checks, relay check and transformer check. Components used for taxi light are found in the Illustration Part Catalogue for Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft. After continuity checks and checks on relays and transformers, it was found that the condition of the relay has burnt and there were foreign objects in the transformers. In accordance with Fault Isolation Manual, relay and transformer must be replaced. Followed by a final check using the operational test. The results of the operational test are marked with the taxi light on properly and it is certain that the taxi light has worked well
