Abstract
Engine Fire Extinguishing System is part of the Engine Fire Protection System on the Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, used to address excessive heat and the occurrence of fires on the aircraft. With this technology, pilots can control the aircraft to prevent overheating and fires, as they pose a significant danger to both people and the company itself. The Engine Fire Extinguishing System faces issues, typically involving low pressure in the engine fire extinguishing bottle, which can lead to suboptimal performance of the Engine Fire Protection System. To identify the root cause of the problem with the engine fire extinguishing bottle, an inspection needs to be carried out, following the guidelines outlined in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual AMM. This inspection is crucial for determining the failure in the Engine Fire Extinguishing System. In the handling process of the engine fire extinguishing system, a literature study method is required in troubleshooting failures to analyze them correctly, until obtaining normal and serviceable engine fire extinguishing bottle pressure results.
