Abstract
Aircraft maintenance is an activity that must be carried out on the entire aircraft system because each component has a certain reliability and age limit. This study aims to identify the factors that can cause failure, and identify the impact on the damage to the Fuel System and to avoid failures in the Fuel System components on the GROB G 120 TP-2 A aircraft. The data used is in the form of a maintenance diary from the Squadron. Engineering 043 Year 2019-2020. The method used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method, Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), the calculation of the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value. The first step is to identify the failure in each component. Each failure mode and the effects of failure that occur in each component are described in the FMEA table. Then analyze the value of the Risk Priority Number (RPN) by looking at the level of severity (Saverity), the level of occurrence (Occurance) and the level of detection (Detection) of each component. The components of the Fuel System are Standby Fuel Pump on or Fail, Fuel Leak from Drain Valve, Fuel Press Fluctuate, Fuel Flo, Fuel Transfer Fail, and Fuel Quantity. Based on the results of the RPN values for the six cases the cause has a moderate failure rate. From the six cases, it can be identified the causes that often occur, namely in the case of the Stanby Fuel Pump on or Fail with an RPN value of 216 due to the frequency of occurrence of 17, the highest RPN value from the Fuel System is the presence of the Stanby Fuel Pump on or Fail, with an RPN value of 216 and also seen from the calculation based on the Criticaly Number based on data from Severity (S) and Occurance (O) to determine maintenance recommendations that the Stanby Fuel Pump is on or Fail has a higher Criticaly value compared to other components.
