Abstract

Ignorance of vehicle owners about choosing insurance, especially vehicle insurance, makes them confused about choosing the right insurance for their vehicle. One way to overcome this problem is to have a method that can provide recommendations as consideration for making appropriate decisions. This study aims to make a vehicle insurance selection system application by applying the Weighted Product method which can solve the problem by multiplying to connect the rating attribute with the associated weight attribute. As for the criteria in the selection of vehicle insurance in the study, namely the cost of TLO premiums, the cost of All Risk premiums, the number of partner workshops, the maximum age of the car and the insurance company rating from the lifepal.co.id website. The results of this study are in the form of a web-based vehicle insurance selection system application that can provide recommendations to vehicle owners as consideration for decision making in choosing vehicle insurance by applying the Weighted Product method in the system analysis process so that the best results in decision making are obtained.
