Abstract

The determination of the theme for the final project of the ITDA Informatics Study Program students can be considered with the concentration courses that have been taken by the students, the subjects they like, and the things that will be investigated in the theme of the final project. The complexity between concentration courses and preferred subjects can be made easier by building a decision support system SPK application that is implemented in the form of a chatbot to facilitate and assist students in recommending final project themes. The Decision Making System DSS which is implemented in the form of a Chatbot using the Simple Additive Weighting SAW method is used to solve unstructured problems in a simple way so that they can carry out an effective decision-making process. In the application discussed about the application of the SAW method to recommend the theme of the final project. The results of the calculations using the Simple Additive Weighting SAW method from manual calculations and application systems and the final results are appropriate. The results of the comparison of the output of the application and the theme of the final project that have been taken by the student are obtained an accuracy rate of 50% taken from the amount of data that is in accordance with the results of the application and the theme of the final project that has been taken with the appropriate amount of data, namely 15 students divided by the amount of data by 30
