Abstract

In this modern era, public transportation by air, namely airplanes, is developing very rapidly. One type of aircraft that is often used for flight training, patrols, and transportation in remote areas can use a small aircraft, namely Cessna. It should be understood that every tool and component contained in an aircraft has its own level of importance and can experience failure in carrying out its functions. This failure usually becomes a problem for users due to limited knowledge in the world of aircraft engines. The problems caused by aircraft landing gear are sometimes minor problems that do not require a high level of knowledge. To solve this, maybe it can be done by someone who has very basic knowledge of aircraft landing gear. With a damage identification system using the Case based reasoning method, you can apply or describe the expertise of a technician in the aircraft landing gear system. Searching for solutions or in identifying damage can be obtained quickly, effectively and efficiently. In the results of testing the application of the damage identification system on the landing gear of the Cessna C208B aircraft using the CBR method, the results obtained were in agreement between system and manual calculations, the test was carried out using 10 sample questions and 59 data in the database. This application still has deficiencies found in the system such as preprocessing which has not been able to find basic words in a question sentence.
