Abstract

Airplanes are one of the results of technology developments, many types of airplanes have been developed according to purpose, for example, seaplane aircraft, fighter aircraft, commercial aircraft, cargo aircraft, aircraft without wake and so on. The need for the development of the aviation sector is very important, especially in Indonesia. In addition to aviation, maritime transportation services are also a necessity that can connect regions throughout the archipelago. The urgent development is an aircraft with the concept of Wing in Ground Effect with a seaplane base that has a concept that combines aerospace and maritime fields. The object of research in this final project is to use the design research method from the reference from Snorri Gudmundsson. The result of the research is conceptual design with show the geometry of aircraft by data Aspect Ratio 5, wing area 108.3 ft2 , wing root chord 7.18 ft with use NACA M15 for the airfoil, diameter fuselage 4.17 ft, length fuselage 22.15 ft. with weight analysis gross weight 1300 lbs, empty weight 818 lbs. And the cruise performance by Clmax 1.75, stalling speed 45 KCAS, Maximum Endurance Airspeed 51.78 KCAS, and Airspeed for Maximum L/D Ratio 21.55 KCAS.
