Abstract

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is one of the protocols in computer networks that has the ability to automatically obtain IP addresses for computer network users. Configuration and monitoring of the DHCP pool and monitoring of Web-based DHCP bindings created by utilizing the API on the Cisco Catalyst 2800 series router can be done using the Web, making it easier for users or administrators to configure the Web. The use of the Cisco API is for the purpose of connecting the web programming language with the software on the Cisco Catalyst2800 Series Router. DHCP configuration and monitoring can be done remotely because it utilizestelnet which functions to provide wider access to the Cisco Catalyst 2800 Series Router so that the router can be accessed remotely without using a console cable. Web-based DHCP configuration can be done or accessed with various browsers
