Abstract

The UAV aircraft itself is an unmanned vehicle in this case is an unmanned aircraft or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which is for reconnaissance or just ordinary observation which of course is controlled from a distance quite far away. The need for UAV aircraft technology in the future will be greater. In a UAV aircraft there are many interrelated systems such as aerodynamic systems, control systems and so on. In the process of making an unmanned aircraft, several aspects also need to be taken into account, one of which is the weight and balance of the aircraft. Weight and balance is a procedure that takes into account the weight and stability of the aircraft and finds the location of its center of gravity. The center of gravity (CG) is a point that is assumed to be the center of concentration of the total weight of the aircraft. CG must be located within a certain limit. The control system devices that are applied to assist the performance of the aircraft are servos, receivers, batteries and also ardupilot devices. There are 6 servos used and 3 batteries. From the results of analytical calculations without the system, the center of gravity of this small UAV is located at position 97.13896185 cm on the x-axis and -75 cm on the y-axis from the datum (nose). For analytical calculations where the system has been calculated, the center of gravity is also found to be at position 80.62337305 cm on the x-axis and -75.11702616 cm on the y-axis, and when the position of the battery power source for the engine is placed on the outer side of the wing and moved forward 5 cm from the initial position. For the receiver position, the battery power source for the servo and receiver are positioned like the first option, while the camera is moved closer to the tailboom and 2 cameras are used, the center of gravity is found to be at position 79.64075744 cm on the x-axis and -75.0135257 cm on the y-axis from the datum (nose).
