Abstract
Windshield or window is a very useful component of the aircraft that allows visibility for the crew. However, this system has problems, that is icing on the windshield. Based on this problem, manufacturers provide heat system on a window to overcome them. Like on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. With this system, it will have a good influence on flights. However, it must be other problems with the system. One of them is when the window heat system could not heat up properly. The way to find out that the window heat could not heat up properly could be done by identifying, testing and searching the causes and troubleshoot. After damage was identified, it could be seen that the window heater resistance did not match with the provisions in AMM chapter 30 about ice and rain protection, which was 55.7 - 100 ohms. The first step in the troubleshoot process in the heater resistance window was checking its resistance. The resistance value after checking were below 55.7 ohms, so it needed to replace the sliding window. The next step was to retest the window heat system from the first stage to the final stage. After the problem was not found when testing, the component was considered serviceable. The sliding window replacement process result was found the heater resistance in the range of 55.7 - 100 ohms. It indicates that the components and systems were serviceable so they could be used.
