Abstract

Automatic Directional Finder one of the devices from the navigation system. Automatic Directional Finder receives signals from non-directional finder, then forwarded to radio magnetic indicator as the designation of the location of the non-directional finder. Therefore, the appointment in the indicator must be correct. If the indicator is incorrect and correct it will relate to the safety of the aircraft. Indications of ADF bearing pointers are incorrect indicated by flags and also the suitability of audio or morse code received. Therefore, improvements are needed. The problem is known by initial testing. The next step is to find out a problem in Automatic Directional Finder bearing pointer. After finding th problem, then collecting data from the instructor, observation, and troubleshooting according to instructions from AMM. AMM are needed in order to solve the problem. After troubleshooting and repairs have been carried out, the next order is retesting the system whether the problems still exist or not. If the problem does not occur again, the troubleshooting is declared complete. After retesting the designation on the radio magnetic indicator. If the flag does not pop up. The audio system produces corrects morse code. It means that radio magnetic indicator is serviceable.
