Abstract
The rapid development of industry and innovation in the world of technology requires companies to be more competitive in facing increasingly tight competition. Human resources are one of the most important factors in an organization, because the quality of the organization itself is very dependent on the quality of human resources as employees and service providers in an organization. The PT. Tjiwi Kimia Sidoarjo factory manages notebooks. The production department has 7 workstations with 3 operators at each workstation. In the production department, there is an imbalance in the workload between operators. Even some operators get excessive workloads such as workers who are too heavy. This causes the operator to experience fatigue. The study began by measuring the physical workload using an ergonomic approach. The heart rate during work was measured to assess the operator's Cardiovascular Load. Measurement of working time using the Stopwatch Time Study method to determine the standard time for each work element. Based on the results of the calculation of the percentage of Cardiovascular Load (% CVL). There are several operators who have CVL% values > 30% in the morning shift exceeding the fatigue risk limit in the process of arranging books 30.91% and lifting boxes 30.11%. In the afternoon shift, several operators have CVL% values > 30% which exceed the fatigue risk limit in the process of arranging books 31.34% and lifting boxes 33.61% and in the night shift also have CVL% values > 30% which have a fatigue risk limit in the process of lifting boxes 36% and arranging books 36.15%. The results of the calculation of operator needs at workstation 3 indicate the need for additional aids. So overall, it is recommended to add aids to each production line.
