Abstract
The HENDAR slaughterhouse business is a cattle and buffalo slaughterhouse business. Currently, there is no special handling carried out by the HENDAR slaughterhouse business on the waste produced. Livestock waste is only left and piled up without further processing. To increase business revenue, the business is considering processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer. To determine the feasibility of investing in processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer at the HENDAR slaughterhouse business, it is carried out with non-financial aspects consisting of market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management aspects and socio-economic and environmental aspects. While the financial aspect is through an engineering economic approach with the Net Present Value (NPV) method, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and break-even point analysis (Break Event Point). The results of the study show that from non-financial aspects in the form of market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management aspects, and socio-economic and environmental aspects, it is feasible to run. From the market and marketing aspects, opportunities are still open because of the need for organic fertilizer by farmers with fairly large agricultural and plantation land. From the technical aspect, the production process uses simple techniques and equipment. Meanwhile, from the socio-economic and environmental aspects, organic fertilizer companies can contribute to the surrounding community. In addition, it can be seen in the financial aspects and investment criteria where the results for the Net Present Value method + 21,740,759 (annual Rp.6,952,694.691) (NPV> 0), Internal Rate of Return 44.95% (IRR> 18%), and has a break-even point (Break Event Point) if the company produces more than 54,436 kilograms per year. So the investment plan for processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer at the HENDAR slaughterhouse business is FEASIBLE to run
