Abstract
Most of the black tea production in the Pagilaran Batang Production Unit is to meet consumer demand from abroad. Because it meets a lot of demand from abroad, the quality of the black tea produced must always be maintained or controlled, therefore it is necessary to conduct a multiple linear regression analysis on the raw materials (tea shoots) to determine the factors that most influence the quality of the tea raw materials from the plantation so that the largest contributing factors to the quality of First Grade black production (Quality I) can be identified. By knowing the most influential factors, recommendations can then be given for controlling or improving the quality of the tea produced. This study used the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method where to determine the regression equation using Multivariate Analysis (Discriminant Analysis and Factor Analysis) because many variables were used. In addition to determining the regression equation using Multivariate Analysis, classical assumption test calculations (normality test and heteroscedasticity test), correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, F hypothesis test and t hypothesis test were also carried out to determine the factors that most influence the quality of black tea production produced. From the results of the analysis and discussion of the multiple linear regression calculations for each plantation ( , , ) it was obtained that the most influential factor in the Pagilaran Division ( ) was Fertilizer with a value of - 1415.934, the most influential factor in the Andongsili Division ( ) was Fertilizer with a value of - 265.858 and the most influential factor in the Kayulandak Division ( ) was Fertilizer with a value of 225.589. In the following calculation, multiple linear regression of all plantations ( ) it can be seen that there are differences between groups where the seven variables in each group have significant differences and the most differentiating factor with the largest correlation value is Caterpillar Pests. Then in the final calculation, the multiple linear regression of each garden ( , , ) after summarizing the variables obtained the most influential factor in the Pagilaran Division ( ) is Trip Pest with a value of - 53.741, the most influential factor in the Andongsili Division ( ) is Fertilizer with a value of - 46.301 and the most influential factor in the Kayulandak Division ( ) is Fertilizer with a value of 213.073.
