Abstract

Airport is one of the infrastructures that plays an important role in national development and is one of the potentials that can support the economy of a country. Komodo Airport is located in Labuan Bajo, the capital of West Manggarai Regency, NTT. The growth in the number of tourists in Labuan Bajo has resulted in an increase in the number of aircraft movements at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo. There needs to be an increase in supporting facilities at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, especially in the runway, taxiway and apron sections in order to cope with the rate of aircraft movement. The runway, taxiway and apron are being improved as a consideration so that the A320-200 aircraft can take off in a Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) condition and overcome the parking stands area during peak hours based on the standards set by ICAO, FAA and JICA. Another thing that must be improved is the landing aids at Komodo Airport that meet the standards set, so that safety at Komodo Airport is maintained in accordance with KP 39 of 2015. The results of the analysis prove that Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport is suitable for use by A320-200 aircraft based on the requirements set by ICAO, FAA and JICA and KP 39 of 2015.
