Abstract

In line with the increasing population, the number of trips is increasing. Travel is formed because of the process of fulfilling needs. The need for movement always causes problems, especially when humans go to the same destination in a certain area at the same time. To anticipate needs, an analysis of estimates of future generation and attraction and movement is needed, so that we can prepare the facilities and infrastructure needed, especially at six airports on the island of Sumatra. To form a model of movement generation and attraction, secondary data on movement origin and destination are needed. Secondary data is analyzed using the least squares trend method to obtain future generation and attraction. The results of generation and attraction are processed into a distribution of movement with the Furness model and the Double Constrain Gravity (DGCR) model and the calculation of matrix suitability using the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) method. To facilitate calculations, researchers use Microsoft Excel software. The results of the calculation of generation and attraction in 2025 obtained the number of passengers as many as 5618164. The distribution of movements from the Furness model experienced an increase in the number of passengers and in the DGCR model there were two routes that experienced a decrease in the number of passengers on the BTJ-KNO and KNO-BTJ routes. The statistical test of the suitability of the Furness model matrix was smaller than the DCGR model, which was 16576.94 with a%RMSE of 13.69%
