Abstract

Normal brake system on the airbus A330 is a system on aircraft that is used to decrease the speed of the aircraft when it moves on the ground. Based on component removal data from 2018 to 2019 found 17 failures in normal brake servo valve components. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a reliability analysis of these components with the aim of knowing the failure rate over time and the average time the components can work according to their functions. So that it can be known what kind of maintenance action is right for these components. Weibull distribution method is one method that is often used for quantitative analysis while qualitative analysis uses the root cause failure analysis RCFA method which is used to find the root cause of the damage to the component. In RCFA method, to find the root cause of the failure of this component, the authors use a fault tree analysis FTA as RCFA tools. Based on the calculation result obtained the value of nilai BTSI = 1,69399 and BCSI = 1,593449228 .if it is related to the existing parameters it is included in the category of wear out with a value of B > 1. For the failure rate, it is known that the failure rate increases with increasing hours of use. Mean Time To Failure where components can work is up to 13002 hours or 3365 cycles. The failure that occurs in the Normal Brake Servo Valve component is a leak caused by crack on the interface body and than corrosion on outer brake servo valve. Therefore, the type of maintenance action taken to reduce damage is to carry out preventive maintenance that needs to be checked periodically and also to repair the sealing between the body and blanking plate
