Abstract

Juanda International Airport Surabaya is an airport that is busy in handling the dense flight schedule. This study aims to (1). Find out the number of aircraft movements that are the most during peak hours at Surabaya International Airport (2). Find out the capacity of the apron (parking stand) at Juanda International Airport Surabaya during peak hours (Peak Hour) (3). Find out the movement of aircraft on the apron of Juanda International Airport Surabaya, whether there is an increase or not. The collection of research data was carried out by means of observation and interviews with the AMC of Juanda International Airport Surabaya. To determine the results of the study, the authors used the forecast method. From the results of the study, the following results were obtained: (1). The number of aircraft movements that were the most during peak hours at Juanda International Airport Surabaya occurred in May 2018 to September 2018 with a total of 20 aircraft (2). The number of parking stands at Juanda International Airport Surabaya is 30 parking stands in existing condition. The parking stand capacity at Juanda International Airport Surabaya in existing condition with 60 minutes ground time can accommodate 540 aircraft per day (18 hours of airport operation), while after being analyzed with 48 minutes ground time (ground time + interval) it can accommodate 675 aircraft per day. (3). From the calculation results, the number of aircraft movements on the Juanda International Airport Surabaya apron has increased from 5492.8 aircraft (rounded up to 5493 aircraft) and continues to increase to 6118 aircraft.
