Abstract

Adhesive bonding is a connection technology most used in the transportation industry, including the automotive, aerospace, and marine industries. This certainly adds to the value of efficiency in a work environment where time management is considered something vital and very much needed by industry players, the process of combining these composite materials can be done with various methods, namely the riveting method, buut joint, adhesive bonding, hybrid and so on. This certainly adds to the value of efficiency in a work environment where time management is considered something vital and very much needed by industry players, the process of combining these composite materials can be done with various methods, namely the riveting method, buut joint, adhesive bonding, hybrid and so on. Composite is one of the materials formed from two or more components (reinforcing material and matrix) physically or chemically and has characteristics that are superior to their respective constituent components. As a filler, fibers are used to withstand the forces acting on the composite material, and The matrix functions to protect and bind the fibers so that they can work properly against the forces that occur. The process of making composites is divided into several main stages, namely molding, calculating the volume fraction and mixing the resin, carrying out the hand lay up process, and carrying out the process of combining the adhesive bonding method. This process takes about 6 hours and this process varies angles, namely 0˚, 30˚, 45˚, 60˚ and from these results the strongest is 30 angles because the cross sectional area is stronger.
