Abstract

The Development of technology can support all aspects of life, including in agriculture sector. This final task aims to make a tool of innovation information technology and communication in the field of agriculture to monitor the soil moisture. This Soil moisture monitoring tool uses NodeMCU as the main controller programmed to find out the soil humidity through the FC-28 Soil Moisture Sensor planted on the ground and the result of plant soil moisture output will be sent to the Smartphone owner through the Internet which is connected to Wi-Fi or Hostpot. When the condition of the sensor detection of soil volume is not good, the Relay automatically turns on the water machine and performs the watering crop. Results of the monitoring of soil humidity through the Internet of Things based on the results of watering crops showed that the FC-28 Soil Moisture Sensor can detect soil moisture and the tool watering the plant when the soil is in dry condition, then the Internet of Things will work automatically to transmit the data to owner and tool success percentage is 93%.
