Abstract
The use of air conditioner as an alternative to increase comfort and increase work productivity. Unfortunately, the use of air conditioner can actually lead to inefficient use of electrical energy.. This is because some people use air conditioners do not suit their needs. In this study an AC control system was designed that was able to turn on and turn off automatically. This system uses the Arduino as the system control center, with a Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR) sensor to detect human presence and a DH-T11 sensor that is used to detect room temperature and Bluetoth so that it can regulate temperature through a smartphone. The test results show that the maximum run length of this tool when installed horizontally reaches 900 cm with a range of reach up to 120 °. When installed vertically with a height of 5 meters the angle of reach reaches 83.96 °. In dark conditions, this device can still detect movement. If there is a barrier in the form of an invisibility object, this tool is not able to detect movement. The average difference read by the DHT-11 sensor with a hygrometer 0.7°C with a 3% error factor. The maximum distance of Bluetooth can be connected to a smartphone as far as 20 meters with a 100% success percentage. The results of testing the workings of the two concepts, the success percentage is 100%
