Abstract
The High Pressure Turbine Shroud is located in the combustion case and has a heat sensor to control the clearance between the tip of the blade and the surface of the shroud to avoid friction and the distance of the blade and shroud is too far away. HPT shroud has a smooth surface so that when there is friction at the tip of the blade does not occur large erosion. The HPT rotor has a very important function on turbofan, namely converting the air energy contained in the combustion gas into kinetic energy to rotate the LPT rotor which is then forwarded to the Fan booster to produce thrust on an aircraft. The factors that cause the maintenance carried out are Axial cracks, Circumferential cracks, Burning and erosion, Split-line aft corners, Rubs and wear, Distortion, Burn-through on the rub land on the shroud. so an overhaul or engine dismantling is determined from the manufacturer itself to be repaired or replaced parts. After maintenance is carried out, it will be checked with a new shroud that is by grinding to measure the distance with the blade so that no friction occurs or to adjust the distance between the blades Grind the shroud hangers, dimension J31S, to 1.677-1.681 in. (42,60-42,70 mm)
