Abstract

Water level indicator on McDonnel Douglas DC-9 aircraft used to show the amount of water in a potable water tank according to the height of the water. Potable water is fresh water that inside the aircraft, used to supply fresh water during in flight as needed. When the fresh water is not fulfilled due to a trouble of water level indicator, it can interfere the comfortable of passenger when they need to flushing toilets and wash their hands. Water level indicator on McDonnel Douglas DC-9 aircraft have a problem with the light indicator does not come on that was found when refilling the fresh water. According to the troubleshooting table there are broken water level sensor and wiring from the light assembly to the water level sensor. Water level sensor and the wiring from the light assembly to the water level sensor must be replaced corresponding the McDonnel Douglas DC-9 aircraft maintenance manual. After doing a replacement it is continued with testing on the water level indicator. With the replacement of the new water level sensor and the wiring water level indicator can work normally by showing the amount of water in the tank accordingly
