Abstract

In investing in a plane crash, a recording device that is used to determine the final condition of the aircraft before the accident occurs is called a blackbox. Blackbox, is a set of devices used in the field of air transportation that serves to record flight data and sound in the cockpit of an aircraft. Blackbox has two important parts, namely flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder. Both parts have their respective duties. Flight data recorder has the task to record all aircraft activities such as altitude, position control, acceleration, speed and various other activities. Cockpit voice recorder has a function to record various sounds in the cockpit ranging from pilot and co-pilot conversations, engine sounds and various other sounds. Failure in the cockpit voice recorder can be known through an operational test first. In the operational test, a failure was found in the form of no sound coming out of the headset when tested so the troubleshooting process was needed. In the process of troubleshooting FOD found in the form of dust on the connector so that the cockpit voice recorder cannot work.After troubleshooting and retesting, the voice recorder cockpit can make a sound again and the failure does not reappear. This shows that the cockpit voice recorder has returned to the serviceable condition.
