Abstract

An unmanned aerial vehicle or commonly known as UAV is an aircraft that can be used in research, particularly in the field of aviation. Nowadays, aeronautical technology is developing and being able to be continually examined to facilitate human tasks so that the work done becomes effective. UAV tasks vary according to the mission defined from the UAV. The purpose of this calculation is to investigate the range value during steady state level flight, the total range and the duration (endurance) of the TM15 UAV wing aircraft and the effect of the cross section of the wing on the range and the length flight time (endurance). The total range is the sum of the takeoff, the range when the steady state level and the landing. The calculations indicated the range is 84 km, the total cruising distance is 84.1 km and the endurance of the flying wing TM15 is 1.2 hours. By changing the wing area, the endurance is 1.03 hours to 1.49 hours and the range is 72.59 kilometers to 105.81 kilometers.
